What to expect from your photography session:
I've never booked a photographer before, how does this work?
When you contact me we'll arrange a mutually convenient time to meet. I can recommend a location or you can choose somewhere your pet is comfortable and familiar with. For a dog this may be the beach or a park, for cats this will be your home.
On the date of your photoshoot we'll meet at the agreed upon location. Here we can discuss the types of shots you would like before I begin photographing your pet.
My pet isn't very well behaved, is that a problem?
Not at all. The idea is to get photographs that best represent your pets personality. If they would prefer to run around and play rather than sit and pose for the camera then that is fine.
If your dog needs to remain on a lead for whatever reason then that's fine too. The main priority is the welfare of your pet and leads can be removed during editing.
How many photos will you take?
This will vary from shoot to shoot but I aim to provide approximately 30 photos for you to choose from. I cannot guarantee a minimum number of shots but this is something we can discuss prior to the shoot.
What happens if it's raining?
We can decide on the day whether to postpone or go ahead. I'm happy to work in most conditions but you know your pet best and they have to come first. A small amount of rain won't ruin the photos, as long as your pet is comfortable.
Who owns the photos taken?
Copyright remains the property of the photographer and images may not be reproduced without my express permission.
A session will usually last around an hour, depending on the type of session and number of pets. This may take longer if your pet is shy or nervous but I will never force them to do something they're not happy to do.
I will take some time at the beginning of the session to get your pet used to me and my camera. We can also use this time to discuss the types of shot you would like. These are your memories!
The rest of the session will be dedicated to creating both portrait and action shots of your pet.
Your pet's personality will have a huge impact on the photos I take. If you have an energetic pet then I will focus on action shots. If your pet is more laid back then the focus will be on portraits.
After the session your photos will be professionally edited and uploaded to a private gallery on this website. This will usually happen within 7 days of the session.
The photos will be available to view and order for 28 days.
Information on how to order will be sent with your gallery link.
